Interested in participating in the Mount Washington Valley Open Bonspiel?  Here’s some great information about attending the event:

Last year’s inaugural bonspiel was a huge success and we intend to put on another great bonspiel this year.

The dates for the Bonspiel are September 20th, 21st and 22nd, and will again be held at the Ham Arena in Conway Village.

Please print out the entry form and return with payment if you wish to participate in this year’s bonspiel.

Two lodging establishments will be offering discount rates for curlers attending this year’s event, the Green Granite Inn and The Colonial Motel.

The Spring League for the Curling Club of Virginia has started and we welcomed an impressive 23 curlers to the ice.  The teams are set (see them on our League page) and the action has begun.

Here’s a breakdown of how the teams fared:

Sheet 1 – Rich Collins (Team B) lead his team to a 4-3 victory over Team A, skipped by Brent Cooke.

Sheet 2 – Mike Beaudrias’ Team C was overpowered by Travis Hamilton’s Team D with a final score of 7-2.

Sheet 3 – Skip’s rocks determined the winner on this sheet with Scott Walters (Team F) edging out Team E, led by Patrick Walsh.

The Curling Club of Virginia was invited to participate in a Friendly at the Potomac Curling Club in Laurel, Maryland yesterday.
