2013 Quarterfinals Results

It’s hard to believe but the season is already coming to an end!  All teams participated in the quarterfinal games last night and while we enjoyed some friendly socializing afterwards, the evening definitely brought out our competitiveness!

Heading into the night, Team B (Collins) was leading the league and they continued their winning streak with an 8-0 win over Team F (Walters).

In the night’s closest matchup, Team C (Beaudrias) managed to pull off a 4-2 victory over Team A (Cooke).

In another blowout, Team D (Hamilton) routed Team E (Walsh) with a final score of 11-2.

Next Thursday (May 23) the CCVA teams will go head-to-head in the semi-finals.  It’s going to be an exciting end to the season!

Last Night of Regulation League Play

The Curling Club of Virginia saw teams facing off against each other in the last night of regulation play.  It was a great night of curling with each team trying to earn a top spot in the semifinals. 

Team A (Cooke) took on Team C (Beaudrias) and managed to pull off a very close win with a final score of 5-4.

Meanwhile, Team B (Collins) continued their winning streak after beating Team E (Walsh) 9-6.

Finally, Team D (Hamilton) easily beat Team F (Walters) with a final tally of 13-4.

After last night, the standings are as follows:

  1. Team B (Collins)
  2. Team F (Walters)
  3. Team D (Hamilton)
  4. Team A (Cooke)
  5. Team C (Beaudrias)
  6. Team E (Walsh)

League Play Intensifies

It was another great night for the Curling Club of Virginia. The league is well underway and the competition is really starting to heat up.

After two hours of intense (but friendly) competition, here are the results: 

Team Cooke pulled off a 6- 4 victory over Team Walsh in the closest game of the night.

Meanwhile, Team Collins easily dominated Team Hamilton with a final score of 9-3.

Finally, Team Walters looked skilled on the ice while handing Team Beaudrias a 6-3 loss.
