8th Annual Tropicurl Summer Bonspiel

Curlers from our club attended the 8th Annual Tropicurl Summer Bonspiel in Pittsburgh from July 4 to July 7, 2013.  A field of 48 teams played on five sheets of ice during this open format event.  In order to participate in the event, all curlers had to be members of a national curling organization recognized by the World Curling Federation.

Teams from both the United States and Canada faced off at the RMU Island Sports Center where the Curling Club of Virginia was represented by Rich Collins, Kirsten Collins, Travis Hamilton and Joshua Leggette, who went 2-2 against a pair of Pittsburgh teams and two sets of Canadian curlers.
